ILDK Media was founded in 2004 by entertainment publicist Mona Elyafi and was named after her grandmother's initials.
Elyafi spent her formative years at some of the top agencies in Los Angeles. She made her PR debut at the prestigious Lee Solters Company being mentored by both Steve Levesque (VP of Music) and the legendary savvy executive, Lee Solters whose clients in a career that spanned more than 70 years included Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton, and Michael Jackson, to name a very few.
From music, fashion/beauty, social advocacy, special events to film/TV, screenwriting and hospitality, Elyafi's PR portfolio covers the gamut of the entertainment & lifestyle spectrum.
Some of her early high-profiled PR campaigns include Rick James, Chaka Khan, James Brown, Chris Tucker, Gloria Gaynor, Taylor Dayne, Kenney Chesney, La Bouche, and Billy Ray Cyrus, to name a few.
On the special events side, Elyafi’s name is behind the LA premiere of Ricky Lake’s “Business of Being Born”, Lisa Rinna’s "Belle Gray” store opening, and The Carousel of Hope Charity Gala hosted by event chairman Barbara Davis, among many others.
Elyafi has a BA in Political Science from California Lutheran University, Cal, and a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts & Journalism from New York University, NY.
Born in Beirut Lebanon, Elyafi grew up in Paris, France, lived in New York City, and currently resides in Los Angeles with her wife and Westie named Georgie (aka George Michael).
